Meet Daria B., a compassionate aide support specialist, and Polina T., an exceptional patient-focused specialist. Their unwavering commitment connects caregivers and clients, creating a nurturing environment that goes beyond physical care.
Polina is a specialist who can help the client determine the number of services that he or she needs at the client’s request. To perform the duties effectively, Polina and the team show skills such as organization, discreetness, honesty, and fairness.
As a specialist, Daria can assist the caregiver with any topic in daily life, for example, booking a hotel or ticket, renting an apartment, arranging an appointment, translating, providing information on social service programs, etc.
Social work is hard work, dedication, and responsibility helps patients and caregivers gain confidence in not being left alone when help is needed.
Q: Polina, what does being a social worker specialist mean to you?
A: A social work specialist is an all-in-one. You should be a friend, a helper, and even a psychologist. You help to cope with many problems in difficult times. During periods of self-isolation, you become indispensable.
Q: Why did you choose to become a social worker specialist?
A: I have a great desire to help people; this is who I am. Growing up, witnessing the impact of kindness and support on individuals facing challenges, I knew that being a social worker was my calling. It’s a dedication to changing someone’s life for the better, not simply a job. I am thankful for the chance to be that pillar of support for individuals in need, and I am inspired every day by the idea that a little compassion can go a long way.
Q: What do you want people to know about social work?
A: Those who represent this profession have such qualities as kindness, responsibility, and attentiveness; they are able to empathize. They can be your best friends. Social work – it’s about building connections, understanding individual stories, and being a source of strength. I want people to recognize that social workers aren’t just professionals; we are listeners, and companions on the journey to overcoming life’s challenges.
Thank you, Polina!

Q: What do you want people to know about social work?
A: Social work is different from other professions because it focuses on both the person and their environment. Social workers deal with the external factors that impact a person’s situation. We help our employees and patients with the issues they face everyday, help improve their social conditions, guide and counsel them.
