Nasogastric Tube (NG Tube)

A nasogastric tube, often called an NG tube, is a thin flexible tube inserted through the nose and into the stomach. It is used to deliver nutrition, medication, or fluids when a person cannot eat or swallow normally. NG tubes may also be used to remove stomach contents in certain medical situations.
