Who qualifies for home care services?
Anyone can qualify for home care services–there’s no need for a doctor’s referral, pre-authorization, or certification. You decide what services you need, when to start, and how often you’d like them.

In New York, the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) allows individuals to hire and manage their own caregivers, including family members and close friends. Through CDPAP, caregivers are compensated for their time, and clients have the flexibility to determine their care schedule and needs.
